Agriculture in the Classroom Literacy Projects

The Mid-Valley Council of the Oregon Reading Association invites all members to our last professional development opportunity for this school year.

What: Agriculture in the Classroom

When: Tuesday, May 2 from 4:30pm-6:00pm

Where: Davis Family Farms, 4380 Highway 20, between Albany and Corvallis

Kristi Miller, retired Albany teacher, will share the Agriculture in the Classroom Literacy Projects from the last 10 years. These activities can be integrated with language arts, math, social studies, and science. Kristi will also schedule a limited number of your classrooms to visit free of charge to share this year’s AITC Literacy project.

It will be a fun and informative evening and there will be door prizes! There is no charge for members, and anyone who comes can become a member at the door, if not already a member. (Membership rates are going up on July 1 to $35. Renew or become a member now for $25!)

We hope to see you on May 2.
